SCSI ID Selection
Jumpers at ID0, ID1, and ID2 select the SCSI address. Each SCSI device on one Host Adapter must have a unique address. ID selection is binary, as shown here.

Interface terminator packs RN4 and RN5 provide termination for the SCSI interface lines. (Active termination is recommended when multiple drives are used.) Default is RN4 and RN5 installed. SCSI terminators are installed only in the end devices on the SCSI cable; remove them from each of the other devices.
W6 and W8 select the source of power (+5V) for terminators RN4 and RN5; W5 controls the drive supplying +5V to the bus.

Y N - Drive provides terminator power. (Default)
N Y - Host provides terminator pwr via J1 pin 26 to RN4 and RN5.
Y - Y Drive supplies +5V to RN4 and RN5 and to the bus via J1 pin 26.
A jumper at J2 pins 7 and 8 controls the spindle option.
No Jumper The drive starts the spindle motor at power-on. (Default)
Jumper The drive waits for a Start Unit SCSI command to
start the motor.
A jumper at J2 pins 11 and 12 selects the SCSI operating mode.
Jumper The drive is in SCSI-2 mode. (Default)
No Jumper The drive is in SCSI-1 mode.
Bus Parity Check
A jumper at J2 pins 13 and 14 selects the bus parity check option. The drive always generates
parity regardless of this option.
Jumper SCSI interface parity checking disabled.
No Jumper SCSI interface parity checking on. (Default)
Spindle Sync Termination
Jumpers at W3 and W4 control spindle sync termination. This depends on system configuration; i.e. Master Mode or Master Controller Mode.
Yes Yes Slave and Master Sync are terminated.
No No Spindle sync not terminated. (Default)
Frame Ground Option
A jumper at W7 selects the frame ground option.
Jumper Frame ground connected to logic ground.
No Jumper Frame ground not connected to logic ground. (Default)
Remote LED Option
A remote LED installed between pins 15 (base of LED) and 24 (Remote LED +5V) of J2 will provide the remote LED operation.
